Property records are considered part of Lehigh County Public Records and are filed by the county’s residents and are maintained and dispensed by the Recorder of Deeds Division) of the Lehigh County Clerk of Judicial Records Department.

Are Lehigh County Property Records Public?

However, some property records are restricted from public disclosure. In Lehigh County, Military Discharges DD214 are sealed and are not considered as public records.
Where to Perform a Lehigh County Property Lookup
Individuals who wish to perform a Lehigh County property look up can do so in-person, by mail, and online at the Clerk of Judicial Records Department Recorder of Deeds Division.
- In-person Request
An in-person search can be performed at the Public Review area at the Recorder of Deeds Office, located in the Lehigh County Courthouse between the working hours of 8am to 4pm, from Monday through Friday. Searches are to be conducted by the requesters themselves, as members of staff are not authorised to perform the searches on the behalf of anyone. For non-certified and certified copies, there is a fee of $.25 per page and $1.50 per document copy, respectively.
- Online Request
There are three options available to individuals who want to perform a Lehigh County property records lookup online. The Landex Webstore is a free property search platform for infrequent searchers, while Landex Remote caters to more frequent searchers and costs $.15 per minute or $.10 per page loaded. The third option is the Lehigh County Online Records Access, which requires the creation of an account and payment of a yearly fee. - Mail Request
To receive copies of the property records by mail, the following information should be provided:
- Type of document required
- Volume and page number OR instrument number of the document
- Copy type- regular or certified
- A stamped, self-addressed envelope (appropriate size and postage) OR a $3 per document mail back fee
- The check should be payable to the “Recorder of Deeds” and should contain the address of the account holder. Blank checks will not be accepted

How to Perform a Property Owner Lookup in Lehigh County
Requesters can obtain information about property ownership in Lehigh County online or in person at the Clerk of Judicial Records Department Recorder of Deeds Division. Online requests can be made using any of the three online portals provided by the Division. A search can be conducted by instrument number, book number, or page number. Alternatively, requesters can conduct an in-person search for property owners at the public review area in the County Courthouse during work hours on weekdays. Requesters who do not want to conduct the search themselves should contact a title company to do so on their behalf, as this service is not provided by the Lehigh County Recorder of Deeds Division.

Some of these platforms require requesters to create a user account, before a search can be conducted. Fees to be paid are typically determined by the number of pages requested for.

The address of a property owner can be found for free online and in-person, via the Lehigh County Assessment Office. Online requesters should visit the Search Records link provided on the website homepage, where they can search up a property by the address, parcel identification and document ID/instrument number. The search results provide an overview of the property, including the name and address of the owner. Information on property tax in Lehigh County can be found via the County Assessment Office. On the Tax Collectors link on the website homepage, requesters can access tax collector information such as name, address and contact details, for all the municipalities in Lehigh County. For in-person services, requesters should visit the Assessors Office during working hours, from Monday through Friday.

The Pennsylvania Department of State has a Licensing System Verification service portal, which can be used to find property appraisers in Lehigh County. A search can be conducted by person, facility, disciplinary, or provider. Users should ensure they select Lehigh in the County section to narrow their search. Lehigh County Property Assessor
The Lehigh County Assessment Office maintains the county assessment rolls, which show the value of all the properties within the county. When residents or businesses construct new properties, this office assesses them to determine their value and in circumstances where properties are affected by occurrences such as fire, new assessments are given. The assessed value of the properties are also then used as the basis by which the real estate tax amount is determined.
